Vallejo, Calif.- Six Flags Discovery Kingdom in Vallejo includes both a marine park and thrills rides. Some actually go to see the aquarium and outdoor marine exhibits rather than head for the thrill rides. From dolphins to penguins, seals, sea lions, sharks and a walrus, many of the aquatic residents were rescued and are cared for at the park in Vallejo.

Dolphin Discovery allows guests to swim and interact in-water with these incredible dolphins. At Dolphin Harbor guests get to view the bottlenose dolphins up close and watch them interact with their human caregivers.

Penguin Passage features a colony of engaging flightless birds you can can watch as they waddle, glide, and dive into the water. The underwater viewing window offers a spectacular view!

Seal Cove: See California sea lions and Pacific harbor seals at the Seal Cove exhibit, located across from Sea Lion Stadium. Primarily rescued animals that were deemed non-releasable even after being rehabilitated at the Marine Mammal Center, they have thrived at the park and are great ambassadors of their species, alongside our harbor seals.

Shark Experience surrounds you in this walk-through underwater tunnel. The 300,000 gallon viewing gallery with floor-to-ceiling windows features a variety of shark species, including nurse shark, sandbar shark, Australian zebra shark and spotted wobbegongs. The sharks share the exhibit with other fish and stingrays.

Walrus Experience features both above and below water views of UqUq, a once orphaned calf from Alaska. She could not  survive on her own in the wild, and was brought to Six Flags Discovery Kingdom for long-term care.

At Alligator Isle, the largest reptile in North America, the American alligator thrives, but once was a species once on the brink of extinction. Native to the swamps and wetlands of the southeastern United States, they can grow up to more than 20 feet in length. They're good swimmers and on land can move up to 20 miles per hour. These carnivores are handfed a diet of fish, horse meat and chicken. The Alligator Isle is also home to red eared, red-bellied slider and Alligator snapping and common snapping turtles.

Tava, the African elephant, Jocko the walrus, and Shouka, the killer whale have been a few of the stars at this amusement park. Odin, a rare white Bengal tiger loves to swim and you can watch Odin up close, or check out two Siberian tiger cubs born in April 2010, Maksim and Mischa
