BIG BEAR LAKE: If you're looking for an amazing ride this summer, hop on the mile-long Scenic Sky Chair at Snow Summit (Big Bear Lake) and experience the most breathtaking views, minus the snow. The 15 minute chairlift ride  transports sightseers, hikers, cross-country and downhill mountain bikers through the San Bernardino National Forest to an elevation of 8,200 feet. At the top you will find the most scenic BBQ on the planet! Stop by the View Haus and enjoy lunch on the deck while taking in the views of the valleys below and the surrounding mountains. You can take a short walk around the Mountaintop Trail, then hop back on the Scenic Sky Chair for a peaceful ride down, or if you're feeling adventurous you can hike down the designated hiking trail leading you back to the base area. SkyTrail! at Trees of Mystery experience is the nearly 1/3 mile journey through the forest tree tops via the unique gondola ride. Get an up-close downward perspective from the tops of redwood trees that measure 100s of feet in height. A total of 8 Gondola Cars continuously make the approximately 8-10 minute, 1570 foot trip up the mountain each day - giving riders not only spectacular views of magnificent redwoods, but a fine mountaintop ocean vista at the observation deck at the summit as well.

MAMMOTH MOUNTAIN: Breathtaking Views, Lunch, and Learning The summit of Mammoth at 11,053 feet is perhaps the most stunning view you'll find in California. PALM SPRINGS: Aerial Tramway
Ascend two and one half miles to a pristine wilderness aboard the World's Largest Rotating Tramcars. Take a ride on the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway and hike through the majestic forest of the Mt. San Jacinto State Park. Enjoy the spectacular view of the desert below, listen to the call of the wilderness and relax.

TAHOE NORTH: During the summer months, guests can take a scenic ride on the Northstar Resort Gondola, Tahoe Zephyr Express or Vista Express chairlifts. Once you reach the top, take in views to Lake Tahoe and enjoy a picnic lunch. Scenic lift rides for sightseeing and hiking are offered in the summer months. SAN DIEGO ZOO: San Diego Zoo's Aerial Tramway.   Take an airborne shortcut over the treetops to the other end of the Zoo and enjoy spectacular views of the San Diego Zoo, its animal and plant collection, and surrounding Balboa Park. sandiegozoo.org

The 2.4 mile ride up in the Heavenly Mountain Gondola stops at the Observation Deck for photos, a latte at Cafe Blue or a unique Heavenly souvenir at The Gondola Sports shop.
