MARIN COUNTY

  • Agate Beach Park Bolinas, Marin County
    This 6.6 acre beach, near the town of Bolinas, provides access to almost two miles of ocean shoreline at low tide. Dogs on a leash are allowed on the beach. maringov.org
  • Bear Valley Visitor Center, Point Reyes NS Pets are allowed in the parking lot and picnic area.
  • Chicken Ranch Beach Tomales Bay, Inverness
    North of Inverness, adjacent to Sir Francis Drake Boulevard and along the west shore of Tomales Bay the 3 acre natural area serves Inverness and Point Reyes Station. Chicken Ranch Beach provides access to Tomales Bay. marincounty.org
  • Dillon Beach 45 min. - 1 hr. north of San Francisco in the Bay Area. Dogs are allowed off-leash on the beach if they are under voice control.
  • Upton Beach Stinson Beach, Marin County
    Dogs not allowed on the National Park section of Stinson Beach. Dogs on a leash are allowed on Upton Beach, owned by the County of Marin, which is located north of the land administered by the National Park Service. nps.gov/goga
  • POINT REYES NATIONAL SEASHORE
  • Kehoe Beach Point Reyes NS trail and designated trails in the neighboring Golden Gate National Recreation Area Pets are allowed on the following ocean-facing beaches throughout the year
  • Kehoe Beach, Point Reyes NS north of the Kehoe Beach trail on a leash no longer than 6 feet.
  • Limantour Beach, Point Reyes NS southeast of the parking lot to the beach adjacent to Coast Camp
  • Point Reyes/Great Beach - from the North Beach parking lot to the south with exception.
  • TOMALES BAY: Pets are permitted on boats in Tomales Bay and on National Seashore beaches on the west side of Tomales Bay from the northern boundary of Tomales Bay State Park to Elk Fence North Beach. These beaches include:

  • Long Cove Beach
  • Fruit Tree Beach
  • Marshall Beach
  • No Name Beach
  • Tomales Beach
  • Elk Fence South Beach
