Newport Beach Beaches: How would you like to be sitting on your patio deck with "man's best friend" and getting some serious work done?

The picture on Balboa Peninsula in Newport Beach shows one guy doing just that. You can't quite see the Pacific Ocean reflecting in his sunglasses but if the camera panned the scene you would be seeing a sand beach and the blue ocean just beyond the deck and the strand.

Newport Beach peninsula is filled with vacation rentals, apartment rentals and homes. Step outside your door and be on the beach or walk no more than a block or two and you're there.

Newport Beach is also dog friendly. Leashed dogs are allowed on the beach, usually after 5 p.m. and before 10 a.m. (hours subject to change). For actual hours and updates check with the city.
