Seal Beach's Beach Attractions

Because of its location on the north Orange County beaches, Seal Beach receives many visitors in the summer months, especially, arriving on public buses from inland Los Angeles and Orange County areas.

Seal Beach has a smaller beach than nearby Huntington Beach, and it has no beach path to ride bikes or skates. What it lacks in those amenities, it makes up for in its low-key slower pace.

If you are looking for a place that has plenty of families Seal Beach isn't necessarily a sophisticated beach. It is more of an every people's beach and the crowd that comes includes L.A. area residents and visitors who are staying nearby or passing through on Pacific Coast Highway, happening to see the signs pointing toward the Historic Old Town with its Main Street shops, dining, the Seal Beach Pier and the beloved beach.

Attractions at the beach include the iconic Seal Beach Pier. It features free fishing, and Ruby's 50's diner with ocean views. Try Ruby's. It's affordable food, has a menu for kids, and offers the views!

Other attractions include a Wind Surfing Launch area, along with a cafe at that location called River Beach.

If you search online you may be able to also find beach cottage rentals for a vacation in Seal Beach. Summers at the beach include free Wednesday night concerts. In the winter there's a lovely tree with holiday lights next to the Seal Beach Pier. On the beach it is mostly sand, waves, and sunbathing nearly every day.
