 The holiday season quickly approaches and that means it is time for the annual Atwater Holiday Parade! This year's parade theme is Miracle on Broadway. The Parade will be hosted by Old Town Atwater and the City of Atwater. As always, this will be a wonderful event for all involved! The parade will take place on Friday, December 1, 2023, beginning at 7pm. If you are interested in participating in the parade, you can pick up an application at the City Administration Building, located at 1160 Fifth Street, or on the City website. Approx. 100 entries ranging from bands and drill teams to motorcycle clubs, car clubs, demonstrations, horse riding, and even local Roller Derby girls dressed in solidarity with their counterparts around the world are featured in the HomeTown Christmas Parade. Christmas Around The World is the theme, and the exciting event includes plenty to see.

In recent years, the annual event has drawn more than 10,000 people downtown. The parade is organized by the enthusiastic Active 20-30 Club, which took over the event several years ago.

The parade starts at 7 p.m. It goes from . and downtown holiday celebration includes crafts and foods on Canal Street, which will be entirely shut down. Annual Bob Hart Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony immediately following parade.
