Paradise Ridge Chamber of Commerce and its members are busily planning all manner of festive treats for the season. Grand Opening: Paradise On Ice   Terry Ashe Park, 6626 Skyway Ice Rink opens November 16th, with spectacular Grand Opening Festivities planned for November 23rd: Mix 95.1 Live Remote, Paradise Community Concert Band, Ridge Singers, Northern California Ballet Nutcracker Preview, Paradise Chamber Ridgefest Giveaway, Small Voices Children's Choir, Followed by Santa's Arrival.

Paradise On Ice  at Terry Ashe Park. If you would like to be a participating merchant, please contact the Chamber at 877-9356 or monica@paradisechamber. com. Trucks and Ice Located in beautiful Terry Ashe Park at 6626 Skyway, the Paradise Ice Rink will be the only outdoor ice rink between Mt. Shasta and Sacramento. The Park will be transformed into a winter wonderland for eight weeks from November 16 through January 12. The Paradise Ice Rink will feature ice skating sessions, skate lessons, music, vendors, concessions, holiday decorations, special events, and parties. Paradise On Ice will celebrate its Grand Opening on November 23 with a full program including a Mix95.1 Live Remote, the Paradise Community Concert Band, the Ridge Singers, and the Small Voices Children's Choir. In addition, Northern California Ballet will be staging a Shoppers: Are you looking for convenient and versatile holiday gifts? Businesses: Are you looking for increased traffi c and a means to attract new customers? The Paradise Ridge Chamber of Commerce encourages local spending with its Merchant Gift Certificate program, an initiative encouraging Ridge retention of sales tax dollars.

Mountain View Christmas Tree Farm: For more than 30 years, Mountain View Christmas Tree Farm, perched on the edge of Feather River Canyon has been the place to build family traditions and make lasting memories. The farm opens yearly on the day after Thanksgiving and is open daily until just before Christmas. Visitors can wander through the Christmas trees to choose/cut a tree from the sustainable forest on the farm. Precut trees are also available as well as fresh hand made Christmas wreaths. The roaring bonfire is the perfect spot to sit and sip hot chocolate while hot dogs sizzle on a stick and chocolate and marshmallows melt together for gooey S' mores. Farm animals rule the roost at the farm and offer a chorus of background music to the delighted squeal of children enjoying an outing in the forest. Christmas Truck Light Parade is held in conjunction with the Grand Opening of Paradise On Ice. Big-hearted truckers and their big lighted rigs will join together for a big event organized by Rick McGregor of McGregor Construction and the Pair- O-Dice Chapter of E. Clampus Vitus, fills holiday food pantries by asking only that the community support the event with canned goods. Last year, the truck Parade gathered more than 2000 pounds of food for hungry Ridge residents. Trucks stage at Thomas Ace Hardware on the corner of Clark and Pearson beginning at 4p.m. on Saturday, November 23. The Clampers' Wienie Wagon will be on hand for hot snacks. Please bring canned goods to the parade, and look for bins around town to donate non-perishable food to the Ridge's hungry families. The truck parade runs in conjunction with the Grand Opening of Paradise On Ice at Terry Ashe Park--the perfect place to view the spectacle. The parade will progress from Pearson up Skyway, turn around in the Holiday Plaza Parking lot, and then drive back down Skyway. Some truckers spend weeks decking out their vehicles with lights and all manner of festive trimmings. The Contest will be judged by Paradise Ridge Chamber of Commerce representatives and trophies will be awarded in the small and large truck categories. If you are interested in entering your truck, please contact Eric Hegenbart at 873- 2692. Nutcracker preview, and the Paradise Ridge Chamber of Commerce will announce its Ridgefest winners. Festivities will begin at noon on November 23. Don't miss the big truck light parade staging at Thomas Ace Hardware.

Holiday Merchant Decorating Contest Paradise Chamber Executive Director Monica Nolan and Ambassador Vice President Lilia Howder recognized Feather Canyon Retirement Community with Best Outdoor Decorating award at the 2012 Holiday Chamber mixer. Merchant Decorating Contest. To celebrate the inaugural year of what is certain to become a regional holiday tradition, this year's contest theme is Paradise On Ice. Prizes will be awarded in the following categories: Window Decorating, Outdoor Decorating, Indoor Decorating, Best Christmas in Paradise theme. The public is invited to select a People's Choice winner by voting online at paradisechamber.com November 22 through December 3. Winners will be announced at the Chamber Holiday Mixer on Wednesday, December 4, 2013, 5:30p.m. at Feather Canyon Retirement Community, 5900 Canyon View Drive. The deadline for entry is Friday, November 23 and Chamber Representatives will visit businesses for judging on Tuesday, December 3.

Paradise 12th Annual Holiday Preview is scheduled for November 14-16. Visit 19 of your local businesses and get an early start on your Christmas Shopping. Participating businesses will feature refreshments, great gift ideas, and holiday décor. Enter the drawing for one of three gift baskets. By visiting all participating stores you increase your chance to win and may also explore more opportunities for buying local.

Festival of Trees Auction and Gala Dinner Friday, November 22, 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Paradise Veterans Hall, 6550 Skyway Corner Elliot & Skyway, Paradise Enjoy a wonderful dinner, holiday music and come prepared to bid on your favorite tree to adorn your home or office. On display will be beautifully decorated Christmas trees created by local businesses and organizations. Paradise Community Chorus Sunday, December 8, 3 p.m. Paradise Performing Arts Center, 777 Nunneley Road, Paradise The current Paradise Community Chorus was founded in 1993 to help promote the Paradise Auditorium as well as to provide a vocal forum for local residents of all ages who love to sing. For the past several years, the chorus has presented two concerts per season. New Year's Gala with Big Mo & the Full Moon Band. Join 2004 Monterey Bay Blues Festival Battle of the Blues Bands winner Big Mo & the Full Moon Band for an evening of music food, spirits, dancing and ice skating as we ring in the New Year in the Terry Ashe Recreation Center.
