Paradise, CA Travel, Photos Information and News

Wouldn't you just love to live in Paradise? It's a fairly small place and maybe not for everyone's liking as a permanent residence. The mountain community is located in the Shasta Cascade region of Northern California. Its elevation of 2,000 to 2,800 feet in the Sierra mountains makes for interesting weather and spectacular scenery. Mellow summers and winters that bring an occasional dusting of snow make for a place in California that has weather, unlike the Southern California cities that tourists and newcomers so often complain about.

What to see and do in Paradise? An award-winning Gold Nugget Museum (goldnuggetmuseum.com) is a must see during your visit. The Memorial Trailway makes for a nice stroll and the 700 seat Paradise Performing Arts Center brings top notch entertainment to the mountain destination.

The great outdoors provides a true taste of Paradise that overlooks Feather River and Butte Creek Canyons, both breathtaking and inviting for hiking, biking, fishing, and all around extreme fun adventures.

Special events include Gold Nugget Days hosted through the Gold Nugget Museum, and a variety of local festivals and events to enjoy throughout the year, celebrating arts, community, and life in Paradise!

The annual Paradise Cruisin' Classics showcases the best of the West, community spirit in a car show that raises funds for worthy causes.

And not to be missed is our favorite event, Paradise Chocolate Fest which gets better each year. Sometimes it includes wine and beer tasting, a Chocolate Run and of course, ample doses of chocolate fun.
