Oroville Community Christmas Tree Lighting

Gather in Union Square for mulled wine or hot chocolate and Santa to light the tree. There will even be snow.  Cookies, Carolers, and Carriage Rides ($5 per person for anyone ages 3 and up), Tree Lighting and Pictures with Santa! The Downtown Oroville Christmas Tree Lighting is a gift to the community

Join us downtown for an evening of holiday cheer with carolers, hot chocolate, pictures with Santa, carriage rides, and cookies in participating shops. The highlight of the evening will be the Community Tree Lighting Ceremony and snow!
Shopping and store treats 4-7 pm

• Carriage Rides: The line starts at Miners Alley in front of the Gray Nurse building at 1359 Huntoon St. Tickets: $8 for adults, $5 for  ages 2-17 years
• Free pictures with Santa at the Grey Nurse 1359 Huntoon St, 4- 6:30 p.m.
• The Great Zambini will perform magic and make balloon animals in Miner’s Alley.
  Performers from Tinkle and Ivory sing Christmas carols to start the show, followed by a small skit from the upcoming Elf musical!
  
  The Downtown Oroville Christmas Tree Lighting is a gift from the Downtown Businesses to the community and is hosted by the Downtown Oroville Business Association.
  
   

Kick off the holiday season downtown with gift shopping and the lighting of the community Christmas tree. As a part of the Downtown Riverfront's Christmas Preview, you'll find plenty of holiday deals and fun in-store events throughout the day. In the past The State Theatre screened It's a Wonderful Life with a Christmas carol sing-along performance on their restored Wurlitzer theater organ. There's plenty to do throughout the day, and it all culminates in the official Christmas Tree Lighting (starts at 4pm; lights on at 6pm) which will be held in Union Square. You don't want to miss it!

Caroling, carriage rides, pictures with Santa, artisan fair, and yummy Christmas treats at your favorite downtown stores.

After you enjoy the Christmas Tree Lighting, come back another week to enjoy the annual Holiday Parade of Lights, a fabulous holiday parade that takes to the streets.
