NO. 241 LIVERMORE MEMORIAL MONUMENT

Today when you look to see the what was once the Rancho las Positas landmark in Livermore, you'll find commercial buildings and Portola Park. The Rancho las Positas could possibly have meant "small watering hole" though it is more likely to just be a name with no meaning. There is a college in Livermore named for this historic landmark. It is called Las Positas College.
