GRIFFITH PARK
DOG PARK
North Zoo Drive
Located at north end of the John Ferraro Soccer Field
Los Angeles, CA
Off-leash dog park. The number listed above is for the
Griffith Park Rangers Station; any questions can be referred
to them. There is a separate, fenced and gated area for
small and timid dogs. Food is not allowed in picnic area.
1.6 acres. There is a separate area for small or timid dogs.
Open sunrise to sunset.
Facility Features: Picnic tables, dog troughs, drinking
fountains, parking for up to 40 cars, portable restroom
facility.
Hermon Park in the Arroyo Seco Dog Park
5566 Via Marisol, Los Angeles, CA
Separate area for small dogs and large dogs in 1.33 acres of
exercise areas. This park is unstaffed and open from dawn to
dusk. Facility Features: Barbecue pits, childrens play area,
picnic tables, tennis courts (lighted), art in the park,
small dog area, large dog area.
LAUREL CANYON DOG PARK
8260 Mulholland Drive, Studio City, CA
3 acres off-leash, small fenced children's play area,
parking for 35 cars and public phones available. This park
is unstaffed and is an off leash dog park.
RUNYON CANYON DOG PARK
2000 North Fuller, Los Angeles, CA
160 acre park and 90 acres off-leash park is on a steep hill
with trails. Children's park at Fuller side. No dogs allowed
in the children's play area. Two entrances: Fuller and
Mulholland Limited street parking on Fuller, Dirt parking
available on Mulholland entrance west of Outpost Dr. This
park is unstaffed, unlocked and open from dawn to dusk. The
children's playground area is an enclosed turf with no
equipment. Facility Features: Childrens play area, hiking
trail, off-leash dog area.
SEPULVEDA BASIN OFF-LEASH DOG PARK
17550 Victory Boulevard, Encino, CA
5 acres off-leash and 0.5 acre small dog area. Dogs
must be on leash near picnic area. Parking for 100 cars.
On-leash picnic area. Facility Features: Picnic tables, 0.5
acre small dog area, 6.5 acres of off leash dog park,
on-leash picnic area, parking for 100.
SILVERLAKE DOG PARK
1850 W Silver Lake Drive, Los Angeles, CA
1.25 acres off-leash street parking only.
WESTMINSTER DOG PARK
1234 Pacific Avenue, Venice, CA
0.8 acres off-leash dog park. Limited parking.
This park has a small dog area that is 50 ft X 25 ft.
WHITNALL OFF-LEASH DOG PARK
5801 1/2 Whitnall Hwy., North Hollywood, CA
3 acres off-leash. There is a 50,000 Sq. Ft. area for large dogs and an area for small dogs approx. 22,000 Sq. Ft. Facility Features: 3 acres off-leash.
Codes and Signs
1. Dog defecation is to be immediately removed by owner (LAMC
53.49). 12. Absolutely no food or treats are allowed inside
the park. The presence of food my lead to aggression.
2. Aggressive dogs are not allowed in the park. Dogs
exhibiting unusually aggressive behavior are to be removed
from the park at once (LAMC 53.34). 13. Alcohol is
prohibited. (LAMC 41.27).
3. In the event of dog bite or injury owner/guardian must
exchange current tag information and phone number (LAMC
53.29, 53.38). 14. Glass bottles and/or containers are not
permitted in the park.
4. Dogs must not be unattended. (LAMC 53.10 and 53.12) any
dogs left unattended will be taken to the shelter. 15.
Grooming of dogs is prohibited in the park.
5. No smoking (LAMC 57.23.02). 16. Abandoning of animals is
prohibited (497(s) P.C.).
6. For the health and safety of your puppy, no dogs under
the age of four months are allowed to use the facility. 17.
No bicycles, skateboards or rollerblades are permitted in
the park.
7. All dogs over the age of four months shall be fully
vaccinated and licensed (LAMC 53.21, 53.51 and LAMC 53.28).
All dogs must wear collars and tags. 18. Small children must
be closely supervised by an adult at all times. Please
discourage your child from running to minimize the chance of
your child being chased.
8. Dogs with communicable diseases are not allowed on park
premises at any time. (LAMC 53.30). 19. Please do not leave
valuables in your vehicle; leave them at home or secure them
out of view in your vehicle prior to leaving home.
9. Female dogs in any stage of heat are not permitted in the
park (LAMC 53.29). 20. Permits are required for all
commercial activities. Please call (818) 785-5798 for permit
information.
10. Dogs must be leashed at all times in the parking area (LAMC
53.06.2). 21. General Service Police can be contacted at
(213) 978-4670.
11. Dogs only! Animals other than dogs are not permitted
inside the park. This includes but is not limited to: Wolf
hybrid (LAMC 53.39), cats, pot bellied pigs, rabbits,
ferrets, rats, birds and reptiles. 22. All Dogs must be
spayed or neutered (LAMC 53.15.2).
