More than 200+ skiers and snowboarders make their way down the face of the mountain in the dark with torches to create a spellbinding spectacle of light before the snow ball drops. Snow Summit annual Torchlight Parade and New Year's Eve Party:

•  New Year’s Eve party to follow in the base area with a live DJ
• Admission to the parade viewing area and New Year's Eve party is FREE and open to all ages

By Dec. 31 the winter skiing has been in full swing and hundreds of thousands of guests have visited and enjoyed the mountain sports, white Christmas, and the crisp, cold feel of winter.

While the mountain cabins and lodges typically sell out for Christmas in Big Bear Lake, Lake Tahoe, and Mammoth Mountains, if you get booking early you might find yourself singing "White Christmas" instead of standing on a hot, sandy desert or beach gazing to the white mountain peaks.

Mountain High is a ski resort with Big Bear Lake's Snow Summit is counting on the annual New Year's Eve Torchlight Parade on Dec. 31.
