Atascadero, CA — When visiting California's Central Coast, don't forget to check out the farmer's market offering fruits, vegetables and cut flowers. Atascadero Farmers Market is called North County Farmers Market and is operated by the management that also has Baywood/Los Osos, Paso Robles and Templeton Farmers Markets.

In Atascadero the event is held each week. Farmers Market includes locally grown cut flowers, produce, honey & wines, to name a few. We've tried the tasty honey (very good,) and purchased the apples and other fruits in season. While the prices aren't much cheaper than the grocery stores in the area (in some instances the prices are the same or more) the produce is really fresh since the region is home to great avocadoes, broccoli, green beans, sweet Chinese pea pods, tomatoes, strawberries and other crops. You also may find olive oil. After purchasing your produce, take a drive to local wineries and pick up some delicious beverage to go with a meal you'll enjoy.
