Costume Contest for ages Pre-School through 8th Grade with judging at 5:30 p.m.

The event starts at 5 p.m. on Main Street in Jackson, gathering at the Fire Station. Prizes are awarded for age groups pre-school through Junior High. The Parade starts at 6 p.m., going south on Main Street to the Civic Center where participants receive a bag of treats and free hot dogs. Prizes awarded to winners in age groups.

Every year the Jackson Lions Club sponsors the kids Halloween Parade on Halloween day. Usually launching around sunset, the event begins with a costume contest judging, then the line up for the parade starts and the parade heads down Main Street, much to the delight of the public and admiring relatives such as mom & dad.

For some, the highlight of the celebration is the Free Hot Dog Party at Civic Center, which takes place after the parade.  Kids Halloween candy bags are handed out to participants. And it's all free!

The fun, safe, family-friendly festival has been a tradition welcoming multiple generations in Jackson since 1965.
