This annual event honors those who have given their lives during military service. Monterey Park annual Memorial Day ceremony  features speeches, patriotic music, and static military displays in remembrance of those who have given the ultimate sacrifice.

American Legion Post #397 hosts this event in conjunction with the City of Monterey Park.

The City of Monterey Park honors residents currently serving in the Armed Forces by displaying their photographs in the lobby of City Hall. Residents in the military or their immediate family members are encouraged to fill out a registration form and return it to the Recreation & Community Services Department at Langley Center, 400 W. Emerson Ave or emailed to recreation@montereypark.ca.gov.
