The solemn observance will include reflection and remembrance, music, commentary and honors to all those members of the armed forces who paid the ultimate sacrifice in our nations wars.

Captain Jose A. Pena, United States Coast Guard, is the keynote speaker. Mayor Bill Brand and other local elected officials and military dignitaries will participate.

Redondo Beach will honor the family of Army Air Force 1st Lt. John H. Liekhus. Lt. Liekus was missing in action over Germany while flying a B-17. His remains were recovered and returned to the U.S. in 2017.

Supporting the event: Redondo Union High School Marine Corps Junior ROTYC, the Naval Sea Cadets, and the Boy Scouts. Music will be provided by the Redondo High Wind Ensemble under the baton of Raymundo Vizcarra.
