Keynote speaker Roxane Langevin, a Gold Star Mother, whose son, Sean, 23,  was killed in Afghanistan on Nov. 9, 2007. Langevin belongs to the American Gold Star Mothers Inc. (Department of Northern California, San Jose Chapter), serving as department secretary and chapter vice president. She also served on the California Run for the Fallen Committee. Langevin currently volunteers at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs offices in Livermore and Palo Alto. She is an honorary member of the Vietnam Veterans of Diablo Valley.

• Members of the Air Force Sergeants Association 
• Members of the Service Veterans of Northern California Volunteer Honor Guard

The  Memorial Day Observance is sponsored by the American Legion Post 165 & Auxiliary, AMVETS Post 1776, Disabled American Veterans Chapter 84, Marine Corps League Detachment 1486, and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 7244 & Auxiliary.

Seating is limited so organizers encourage people to bring their own chairs.
