California Pirates and Pirate History

There are dozens of Pirate Festivals and events throughout California. Be sure to check back when we got them posted! The daily celebration of Pirates goes on at Pirates Dinner Adventure in Buena Park where a model ship contains all the swashbuckling entertainment you'd expect. Come Halloween, Pirates of Emerson features a month of scares, scars and thrills in a Bay Area attraction.

Maritime Museum of San Diego Aye, if you hear the word PIRATE, it often strikes terror in the heart of any seaman, yet at the Maritime Museum of San Diego the word tingles with fun and excitement, if not suggesting a bit of a devilish encounter. There is a saying: Where there is a sea, there are Pirates, so the Museum holds to the time-worn tradition of swashbuckling Pirates, brandishing their swords, to engage, delight, guide and educate our visitors. A two day celebration for kids of all ages, will include kids costume contests, carnival games, cannon firings, weapon demonstrations, sword fights, scary stories, and scavenger hunt for the pirate treasure which the mermaid holds at the end of the treasure hunt.

 VALLEJO - Northern California Pirate Festival  

The first and only event of its kind in the San Francisco Bay Area, the Northern California Pirate Festival returns to the Vallejo Waterfront for another year of piratical mischief and good times.  Produced by NorCal Pirate Fest, tickets are $10 at the gate children under 12 (11 and under) free.  Location: Vallejo Waterfront Park, 298 Mare Island Way, Vallejo, California 94590 Free lot and street parking available.
