2025 California Thanksgiving Turkey Trots, Runs and more

Thanksgiving is a day of watching football games, over-eating big meals and closing all the stores the day before Black Friday shopping frenzy. An amazing and popular event has sprung out of the need for healthier living in what is traditionally considered a day of binge. Turkey Trots and Turkey Runs poke fun at the favored Thanksgiving meal as people take to the streets and paths to exercise. Here are some events we've found throughout the State!

5K course is entirely on fire trails. The 10K has one small section (approximately 1/2 mile) on a paved asphalt trail. Both courses offer mild trails with just a few small hills. Both also have spectacular views of the bay with 5 bridges and 6 counties visible on clear days. Costumes encouraged. There will also be a Little Turkeys Race: a run for the kids (roughly 100 yards).   Nitro Turkey is also hosting a food drive for the Food Bank of Contra Costa & Solano and encourages every little turkey to bring at least one canned good on race morning.
