One of the country's oldest and largest wool shows, the California National Wool Show which begins at 10 a.m. on Friday with raw fleece sales beginning directly after - usually around 3 p.m. Spinning contest is on Sunday.
The event attracts a specialized audience, while the general public also is interested in seeing the displays as part of the Mendocino County Fair & Apple Show. From the source to the fiber, come follow the thread of fine wool craftsmanship. Vendors, sheep shearing demonstrations, Angora rabbit fiber gathering demonstration, and view the entries of the fiber arts show. Get involved, bring you wheel or spindle and join us in the spinning competition on Sunday. Held at Mendocino County Fairgrounds.
