GETTING THERE: Complimentary shuttles run to and from the faire at the Poinsettia Coaster Station and the northwest corner of Sears at Westfield Plaza Camino Real. Closed: Grand Avenue from Carlsbad Boulevard to Jefferson Street, and all of the cross streets in between are closed for the event.

ABOUT: For more than 40 years Carlsbad Chamber of Commerce has presented a street fair in May and November. Over 900 vendors sell clothes, accessories, plants, household products, art, antiques and home decor. The international food court contains approx. 50 booths serving Thai, Mexican, Hawaiian, American and more.

PANCAKE BREAKFAST: The Kiwanis Club of Carlsbad hosts Pancake Breakfast at the Carlsbad railroad depot. The meal, which includes pancakes, sausage, coffee and juice is served between 7 a.m. and noon. Subject to change

KIDS: games, a super slide, a bounce house, a rock climbing wall, face painting and arts and crafts.

BEER: Rotary Club of Carlsbad beer and wine garden includes large screen TV and live bands.
