Colusa Western Days, Cattle Drive and
Parade Friday April 5, 2013 at
5:30
p.m. through Downtown Colusa.
The parade launches at Market
and
10th Streets and ends at the Colusa
Fairgrounds. Colusa Western Days Parade
consists of a Cattle
Drive featuring Cotton Rosser's longhorn
cattle, horse drawn wagons, mounted
groups, floats
and individuals. Staging Area: Check in
by 5:00p.m. At Main and 10th Street.
Colusa's big annual Western Days
Rodeo, Parade and entertainment such as
BBQ contest are one of the highlights to
this Central Valley city that locals
anticipate, and people travel to see and
enjoy. Some even compete for prizes in
the rodeo contest.
The Colusa Western Days was founded
around 16 years ago and not only
commemorates Western heritage and culture,
but also embraces the lifestyle with
authentic celebrations such as the
Rodeo. Expect an action packed
weekend full of fun and entertainment.
Some of the events includes Calf Paint Branding,
Team Penning and Sorting, the infamous
Western Trade Show, Cowboy Entertainment
and the delicious Rib Cook-off, Ranch
Roping and the ever so popular Dutch
Oven Cook-off.
