The City of Santa Monica presents its annual Dia de los Muertos event celebrating the cycle of life and the remembrance of ancestors includes traditions that are part of this ceremony both in Mexico and in the United States.

The community is invited to join in this traditional celebration of life and death featuring an opening procession, a workshop to create offerings for loved ones who have passed, a blessing with traditional music and dance, self-guided tours of the grave sites of local people of interest, and musicians performing throughout the cemetery honoring those who have passed.

Dance performances by Folklorico, a procession and ceremonial blessing, which will open the event, music and dance performances, craft workshops where you can create offerings for loved ones, storytelling, tamales, tacos and churros and more will be available for purchase.
