Encinitas, CA -- Moonlight Beach in Encinitas transforms into race central
one weekend in May when an event comes to town, part of the Encinitas Sports and
Fitness Festival weekend. Triathlon, Century Bicycle Tour, Swim and
Paddle races and a Fitness Expo are several of the exciting, adrenalin rush
experiences during the special athletic festival.
Held annually, this USA Track and Field sanctioned race features free
refreshments, a popular event t-shirt and goody bag for all participants.
Participation medals are handed out to all youth runners and walkers. Each age
group's top three finishers will receive an award. All ages are welcome rain or
shine, however, no skateboards, roller blades, scooters or dogs please. Pushed
baby strollers and wheelchairs are welcome. For event information visit

Start - 8 am
Flat and fast - the best little 5K on the coast, followed by the 1K Family Walk/Run. Shares the triathlon finish and EXPO at Moonlight Beach.

9 am (registration 7am) START & FINISH 3 & 6 Mile Paddle - at Moonlight Beach.

Choice of two triathlon distances or a mini-sprint Beach Duathlon. Age group awards, classic shirts and post-race food, finishers awards.
Moonlight Beach Paddle & Swim - The Swim
1 Mile Ocean swim Starts after the last Triathlon wave: 8:30am. First wave goes
off at 6:45am at Moonlight Beach.
San Diego Century Bicycle Tour
6am to 8am at MiraCosta College, Manchester Ave, Cardiff-by-the-Sea. Join us for San Diego's great bicycle adventure! The Annual San Diego Century Bicycle Tour (SDC 2011) takes cyclists on three different courses around the coast and up and down the beautiful hills of North County San Diego.
Stops for local food, riders' gifts, lots of course signs, a "Green Rider" category and a special finish line event at the MiraCosta College Finish. A challenging ride worth the effort!
