Glass art is one of the most beautiful, unique and mesmerizing mediums for showcasing color and form. It's hard to imagine that there's a person out there that doesn't like looking at glass. But for those who really love glass art, Fallbrook in San Diego County features an annual Galaxy of Glass fall show with stunning glass vases, objets d'art, and even some ornamental globes. The event is in time for early holiday shopping season but art collectors tend to buy gifts for themselves at this time of year, as well.

Fall seems to be a popular season to acquire glass objects as evidenced by California's glass pumpkin patches.

The annual glass showcase at Janice Griffiths Gallery celebrates the evolution and uniqueness of the American Studio Glass Movement. This exhibition and sale includes fine art glass sculptures, vessels, functional ware, and jewelry created by 18 master glass artists using blown, torched, slumped, fused, cast, and more. In the past, glass specimens from Chihuly to Steuben have been displayed.

While the wildly popular fall glass pumpkin shows are a hit, the themes and colors tend to be seasonally fall and winter...not so at Galaxy of Glass. Sure, you may find some cute holiday-themed items. But the centerpiece art tends toward collector glassworks you would be showing off all year long in special spots.
