Fallbrook Scarecrow Days festival and contest is the best in California because of the thought and effort that goes into the month-long display appearing in front of shops and restaurants along Main Street. It's an art lover's city to begin with, so there's much talent to enjoy when you visit! Any place that has Fat Happies public art shows a sense of humor and style, which sets the tone for art-inspired events such as the Scarecrow displays. You really have to go see it to understand why people love the event, and love Fallbrook, a throw back to Mayberry.
