Jazz is an annual tradition at the Hollywood Bowl's June Playboy Jazz Festival. It is the largest weekend jazz festival, though there are actually several throughout the state of California, including Cotati Jazz Festival and Lancaster Jazz Festival. Among the top acts in Hollywood are George Benson, Earl Klugh and a host of great acts.

DOWNEY: Make Music Downey 2014 is coming Saturday, June 14, 2014! Make Music Downey is a free, all day, all-ages, music celebration taking place in Downtown Downey, Saturday, June 14, from 11 AM to 6 PM. Festival seating is open to all at the Main Stage in front of City Hall, and other venues are within easy walking distance. The music will begin right after the Tour de Downey bike ride. Cheer the riders as they cross the finish line at the Downey Civic Center, then stay to enjoy the vibe of Making Music The festival of sound will feature 70 bands spanning 11 venues. Internationally known bands perform at the Main Stage next to an interactive vendor village featuring over 40 unique artists, crafts, and community partners. Once again Downey is joining hundreds of other cities in this annual celebration of music.
