Four Cities Come Together for South Bay Surf Festival
International Surfing Festival promotes the four South Bay beach cities, the world's best lifeguard service, and physical fitness for thousands of participants from 8 to 80 years young. The three signature events for the festival are the Judge Taplin Lifeguard Medley Relay, the Dwight Crum Pier-to-Pier Swim, and the Charley Saikley 6-Man Volleyball Tournament.

Thousands of people fill the beach to participate in the International Surf Festival in Manhattan Beach, Hermosa Beach, Redondo Beach and . Participants ages 8 to 80+ participate in three signature events–Judge Taplin Lifeguard Medley Relay, the Dwight Crum Pier-to-Pier Swim, and the Charley Saikley 6-Man Volleyball Tournament. The family-fun event promotes the four South Bay beach cities, the nation's biggest and world's best lifeguard service, and physical fitness for thousands of participants. Surfing contests, bodysurfing, beach run, sand soccer, paddleboard race, dory race, and youth events bring together the Chambers of Commerce and Cities of Hermosa Beach, Manhattan Beach, Redondo Beach, Torrance, Los Angeles County Fire Department and Department of Beaches and Harbors.
