The theme of Lodi's Grape Festival is "A Whole Bunch of Fun".
From 4-H Clubs countywide to Lions
Clubs, Boy Scouts, Future
Farmers of America, Farm Bureau
and Grange Associations, organizations
raise money by selling products at the
Festival or by entering the wide variety
of agriculture-related competitive
exhibits offered each year. Be sure to
see the ever popular
Grape Stomp Competition.
The event
includes a grape displays, competitions,
and lots of great vendors where you can
eat all sorts of food. There's a
carnival and midway with games and
entertainment. Community groups, bands
and many things to see and do are in
store at the Lodi Grape Festival.
The Festival's mission and main purpose
is to promote the agriculture and
agricultural products of San Joaquin
County, and to offer diverse forms of
agricultural education. The Festival
strives to present unique, family
oriented exhibits that not only
entertain, but educate and enlighten.
In addition, the Festival provides an
opportunity for many other non-profit
groups to raise funds for community and
charitable projects.
Well over $150,000 is raised annually by
non-profit groups as a result of the
Festival, in addition to the more than
$30,000 in prize money paid out by the
Festival each year to individuals and
groups for their exhibits.
