Be a Kid Again! is the theme of the annual festival with a big Saturday parade and the "Newark Mile" race. There are multiple stages with top entertainment talent, arts & crafts, food and game booths, car-truck show, carnival, special theme areas, contests and children's activities.

The 71st Annual Newark Days Parade on September 19, 2026 celebrates the wonderful adventures brought to us by the world of literature with the theme, Adventure is Just a Page Away. In 2026, parade entries are all free of charge!
