About the Hueneme Beach Festival
The Hueneme Beach Festival is presented by The City of Port Hueneme & REACH Foundation. The festival was founded in 1998 by Toni Young, Port Hueneme's first council member, first female mayor (who served four terms till her death in 2008,) and public servant who held positions on many boards. Always striving to make the world a better place, Young was known for her her plain-speaking and no-nonsense approach to government.
