Ripon California's annual Color the Skies festival includes two days of aerial displays plus an additional day of carnival rides in Mistlin Sports Park, which offers a carnival experience. The carnival rides in the park begin on Friday evening and continue throughout the weekend, while the festival aspect of the event happens on Saturday & Sunday.

A fun 5K & 10K run for adults and kids takes place on Saturday morning only, while most other events are offered both days. Those events include Bay Area Skydivers Jump, Air George Helicopter, The Kite Candy Drop, Author Reading on Stage, Clown Show, Chugabug Train, Kite Performances and more!

Founders of the festival, Greg & Jessica Coleman are hosting a Saturday evening 10th anniversary party fundraiser for a special cause. That separate, ticketed event is being offered on eventbrite.com

Ripon Color the Skies Labor Day Weekend Hot Air Balloon & Kite Festival. Ripon, California Chamber of Commerce handles the vendor application process. One of the city's biggest events of the year invites you to visit and see an amazing display of colorful flying objects in the skies above Ripon. Other balloon festivals such as ClovisFest offer similar fun experiences in separate geographical areas and counties in California.
