Rock the Band, Irish Style in California

Perhaps you've seen those wholesome, squeaky clean Irish concerts-- fundraisers on PBS. The stars are talented young men (and women) reminiscent of the Donny & Marie productions circa 1976. Many who have only seen these shows and other TV concerts with dance stars such as Michael Flatley (Riverdance and Lord of the Dance fame) may have no idea that there's a popular Irish rock & punk scene going strong in California where Irish bands spring forth from the Pacific shores.  Irish bands do well year-round but on St. Patrick's Day week they are in high demand!
