Salida Town & Country Parade & Festival is held on a Saturday annually in August. The free event includes food & vendor booths, crafts, kids activities and live entertainment starting with Salida's parade. The community anticipates and enjoys this event each year because of its absolutely free entertainment and admission.

The parade features marching bands, community clubs, farm equipment, clowns and often equestrian units. The festival also features a car show.
