SAN DIEGO, CALIF. -- For a premier sand sculpting experience, the San Diego festival offers the world's best.

Saturday

• 10 a.m. Gates open. World Masters solo sculptors
• IB Teams start building 
• Dimensional artists exhibit and sell all day. Kid Zone is open all day. Gourmet food trucks.
• Wine and beer garden opens. Live entertainment begins.

Sunday

• 10 a.m. Gates open. World Master sculptors works' judged. Team competition continues. Art vendors, Kid Zone, Gourmet food trucks
• Live entertainment, Beer and wine sales begin.
• 7 p.m. Event closes

Monday

• 10 a.m. Gates open for Sand Sculpture viewing. Art vendors, food trucks, Kids Zone with huge sandbox, are all open.
• Live entertainment, wine and beer sold.
• 7 p.m. Pier gate closes, event ends.  

Watch the best of the best challenge each other in a contest featuring scenes made of sand. The talent is absolutely incredible! In addition to the sand sculpting, there are bands performing, artwork and vendors selling items, and food vendors selling eats. Held in the lively shoreline area of downtown San Diego, everything's nearby such as Gaslamp, cruises, shopping and dining.

San Diego is one of California's top beach destinations, offering the perfect escape for Labor Day Weekend when the sandcastle contest is typically held.
