Solvang Danish Days is an annual celebration that pays homage to the Central Coast city's roots. Solvang Annual Danish Days is a three-day event honoring the establishment of Solvang by Danish-Americans in 1911. A hometown parade, costumed Danes, Aebleskiver eating contest and free concerts are included in this all free event (food, beverages and activities such as axe throw for a fee.)

Friday

T-Bone Ramblers free concert 4 p.m. in Solvang Park
Axe Throwing 4-9 p.m. $5 for 7 throws, age 7+ may participate
Viking Beer & Wine Garden 5-9 p.m.
Torchlight Parade 7:30 p.m. Public invited to participate with  battery candles provided
Opening Ceremonies introducing 2019 Danish Maid 8 p.m.

Saturday

Aebleskiver Breakfast 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. $8-11, Copenhagen Drive & 1st Street
Old World Artisans Marketplace 9 a.m. includes Scandinavian arts & crafts, woodworking, papercutting, rosemaling, fabric art, jewelry, pottery, and the ever-popular Danish Sisterhood Booth.
Kid's Korner 10 a.m.-4 p.m.
Viking Encampment 10 a.m.-4 p.m.
Rune Reader, Tracey Boyer 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Free readings in Solvang Park
Living History Festival 10 a.m.-5 p.m.
Aebleskiver Cooking Demo 11 a.m. -2 p.m.
Solvang Food & Photo Tour 11 a.m.-3 p.m.
Free Aebleskiver Eating Contest 11:30 a.m.
Viking Beer & Wine Garden 12-9 p.m.
Axe Throwing 12-9 p.m. $5 for 7 throws, age 7+
Danish Days Organ Concert 1 p.m. at Bethania Lutheran Church, 603 Atterdag Road. $5 donation. World-renowned concert organist, James Welch, serves up a lively mix of tunes from across the centuries, folk melodies, and hits from Baroque to Broadway on the Phelps pipe organ.
Danish Days Parade 2:30 p.m. Route: Line-up starts at 1:30 p.m. on First Street, between Molle Way and Oak Street; parade begins by turning east on Copenhagen Drive, then north on Alisal Road, west on Mission Drive, south on Fourth Place, east on Copenhagen, south on Second Street, finishes at corner of Oak Street near Solvang City Hall.
Parade includes Solvang Village Band on the Carlsberg Beer Wagon, Floats, equestrians, Village Dancers
Low Down Dudes and Danish Playboys Revisited free concert 3-9 p.m.
