Festival Celebrates Old West Tradition Grab your sense of adventure and your gold pans and head for the Gold and Outdoor Festival at the Mother Lode Fairgrounds in Sonora, Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 20-21. Presented by the Delta Gold Diggers and sponsored by Gold Prospectors Association of America. Bring the family for an old-fashioned good time and the chance to bring home gold and prizes.
Events will include: panning for real gold, equipment demonstrations, claim
jumper detecting hunt, prospecting seminars, and a chance to win buried
treasure! There will be vendors, information on how and where to go gold mining
and plenty of family fun.
