Visit Asparagus Alley for Deep Fried Asparagus, Asparagus Ice Cream, Asparagus Pasta, Asparagus Beef Burrito & Asparagus Beef Sandwich! The Asparagus Festival is the one event locals don't want to miss each year. With threats of it completely shutting down and disappearing in 2014, a management company stepped in, moved the event to the fairgrounds, and saved the day! Talk about a reason to celebrate.

Why asparagus? California asparagus accounted for over $59 million in sales in a recent year and though production and income are down, 2010 saw a slight uptick from previous years. As top produce of asparagus in the U.S. this vegetable is a hot commodity in the nation and in other places such as China.
