Now in its ninth year, the Surf Dog Competition (previously known as Loews Surf Dog Competition) includes surfing, sand sculpting, Chill zone, Other Dog and Family Friendly Activities, Beginners agility course, Dog wash, Dog adoptions, Beer garden Food trucks and more! 50 dogs are expected to participate in this year's Surf Dog competition, which runs from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. This is the first year Unleashed by Petco will take the reigns from Loews, who hosted the event for the past eight years.

You, your dog, your family, your neighbors, everyone is invited to hit the waves or watch the action from the beach where we will have games, a costume contest, food, and more!
What: Surf Dog Surf-A-Thon is a surf competition for dogs that raises funds for orphaned animals at Helen Woodward Animal Center! Owners and their pets will participate in 20 minute heats based on the dogs weight class. They will be judged on their ability to stay on the board, ride the wave, and have fun! There will be 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners for each weight class. All the first place winners from each weight class will move on to the finals. There will be Grand Prizes awarded to our top three finalists at the end of the day.
