The annual end of season bash invites teams to register online so they can participate. If you accept the challenge, your team must build a unique dummy reflecting the theme, to send sliding down the hill and off a massive jump.  Prizes are awarded for best design, best air and best crash. Full-day lift tickets available at half-day rates.

Downhill Dummy Schedule 3-5:15 p.m.
• Best design judging. All entries must be within the viewing/loading area at designated time to qualify
• Downhill Dummy Launch. All entries transported to the start
• Award Ceremony


Past Event: Pond Skim - Spring It On

Free participation, Gondola Deck registration 9-10:30 a.m.
First 75 registrants are in
Ages 6-up with gondola ticket and signed waiver

Northstar's annual Pond Skim is part of Spring It On Celebration which includes Tug-A-War and other seasonal activities, competitions and games. Participants are encouraged to dress up as judging is based on best costume as well as pond crossing.

If you're looking for an entertaining festival that's a little wacky and wet, head for the annual Spring it On Festival's Pond Skim, guaranteed to give you chills & thrills.


Costume – creativity and living” the costume.
Crossing- style, difficultly, bail height, and splash (if you sink you may get extra points).
If you get across, that means nothing. This is all about style!
All scoring and selection of winners is solely and completely up to the judges.

After the Pond Skim teams of 6 compete in Tug-A-War contest across the artic pond. This event is also free to the first 8 teams of 6 competitors who register in the morning from 9-10:30 a.m. on the Gondola Deck. This is a single elimination style contest.
