Mother's Day weekend at Calico Ghost Town  is a music-filled event featuring Bluegrass performances by top artists. In 2011 the acts included Chris Stuart, one of the International Bluegrass Music Association's most talented performers, The Tumbling Tumbleweeds who remind audiences of singing cowboys such as Gene Autry or Roy Rogers, and The Mill Creek Boys, Windy Ridge Bluegrass Band,  Scott Gates with the Salty Suites, and Robert Richter.

As one of many events held at Calico Ghost Town annually, the Bluegrass Festival reflects the attraction's historic themes and Western influence. Another event held at the park is the Civil War celebration on President's Day.

Enough music to fill the air the entire weekend, the concerts alone are worth the $10 admission but there are also contests, games, old West gunfight demonstrations, shopping and great grub.

It is an ideal Mother's Day gift for mom letting her experience a day or an entire weekend filled with live music at the historic silver rush mining town.
