  • COSTA MESA: Crowne Plaza Hotel new Fireside Tavern, a classic American eatery with a modern feel, is located in the recently renovated Crowne Plaza. Offering a warm atmosphere and a contemporary menu of American cuisine and cocktails, the tavern welcomes guests with a comfortable lounge/bar, intimate dining room, and a relaxing patio with a fire feature and both dining and bar seating. Lunch and dinner will feature different menus of starters, small plates and larger entrees, and Happy Hour is from 3 to 6 p.m. and 10 p.m. to midnight.
  • SANTA CRUZ: Santa Cruz Dream Inn hotel welcomes a new surf-themed Jack O'Neill Lounge featuring floor-to-ceiling windows facing the Monterey Bay, a prototype O'Neill wetsuit under plexiglass and vintage surfing photos. The lounge's signature drink menu includes Jack's favorite, a Ketel One martini, along with an ever-changing roster of unique, California coast-inspired cocktails. Just below the lounge resides a permanent mural adjacent to the site of Jack O'Neill's Original Surf Shop, which is a State of California Point of Historical Interest. The 55-foot-long marble mural boasts a collage of historic photos of Jack and a bronze plaque. Over half a century ago, the first wetsuit was created by Jack O'Neill when he experimented with neoprene from the carpeting of a DC-3 airplane.
  • SONOMA: The Sonoma Creek Inn has recently completed renovations to its 16 guest rooms, including new carpets and bed treatments, new flat screen televisions, Keurig coffee makers, and fresh original artwork and design elements. In addition, the inn has a brand-new air conditioning and heating system, and the check-in area has a beautiful new hardwood floor. All of the Sonoma Creek Inn's rooms now feature individually controlled heat and air-conditioning, complimentary wireless Internet access, telephones with data ports, inroom refrigerators, hair dryers, ceiling fans and cable TV.   • NAPA: The Meritage Resort  guest rooms in the main building now feature a new, modern design, including new carpeting, bedding, desks, chairs and tables.
