The goods: The Peninsula Beverly Hills features a 60-foot pool. For swimmers, 60 feet is just a few feet short of the short course 25 meter pool or 25 yard pool which is 75 feet. You can actually get a decent workout going in the Peninsula pool without having to do too many flip turns (those are what make you dizzy if you swim distances in small pools.)

With views of Century City, downtown LA and the Hollywood Hills, you'll often find visitors to the pool are more inclined to enjoy the cabanas and at night, the Jacuzzi sitting at the end of the pool deck.

Stocked with FIJI water, a flat-screen TV, heater, safe, DVD player, iPod dock, fresh flowers and a ceiling fan, the cabana is as relaxing as it gets. You can order meals from the adjacent Roof Garden restaurant, though you may do just fine with complimentary snacks around the pool throughout the day – frozen grapes, smoothies, homemade fruit pops and chocolate ganache pops to name a few!

Instead of food, order a spa treatment performed on lounge chairs around the pool or in one of the cabanas.
