Now here's a deal you can sink your blades into - an ice rink with  no gates to enter and no fee charged, courtesy of Mother Nature. Bridgeport's daily mean temperature in November is 35.8F degrees, making for a frozen ice surface after nightfall. Six months later in March the daily mean rises to 36.3 degrees as summer approaches so the rink surface naturally begins to melt - and the party is over.

There's no limit on how long you can stay and skate! Come enjoy traditional family fun at the Bridgeport outdoor ice rink. Open to the public with no fee. Located at the intersection of US 395 and Hwy 182, the rink opens when the ice is frozen during the winter months.

The unincorporated community and seat of Mono County sits at an elevation of 6,463 feet in Bridgeport Valley surrounded by Sierra Nevada mountain range to the west, Sweetwater Mountains to the north, and Bodie Hills to the east. It's about an hour's drive northwest of Mammoth Lakes and approx. 30 minutes north of Lee Vining.
