Agoura Hills in Los Angeles County is
located northwest of the City of Los Angeles. It has over 8 sq. miles of land
and an elevation of approx. 922 feet. Set in the transverse ranges of mountains
in the lower area of the Santa Monica mountain range, Ballard Mountain is
the local mountain, though the city is a gateway to the Santa Monica Mountains
National Recreation Area, part of the transverse ranges of mountains that
uniquely run east-west.
The I-101 provides easy access to Southern California and Central Coast
California, and I-405 and 1-5 are both located nearby. The major airports
serving Agoura Hills include Burbank Airport and Los Angeles International
Airport (LAX).
Major attractions include the Malibu beaches over the mountain approx. 25
minutes by car, and Universal Studios Hollywood east of the city.
