Boudin at the Wharf, Corner of Jefferson and Taylor Streets in the heart of Fisherman's Wharf.

SAN FRANCISCO, CALIF.--Boudin Sourdough bread has been a popular San Francisco tradition since 1849. At the flagship location you can purchase bread, sandwiches and meals, but no visit would be complete without taking the Bakery Museum tour. The museum is dedicated to the shared 170 year history of Boudin and San Francisco.

Large, wall photo exhibits document the transition of San Francisco spanning two centuries from a horse town to world class destination. As you study the timeline of significant events that rocked San Francisco (such as the famed 1906 earthquake,) your eyes can't escape another view. Overlooking the displays are bakers crafting unique Boudin breads before your eyes!

You can even sign up for the program, Roll with the Bakers, to learn how to roll and shape bread into one of the sourdough “critters”.

Professionally trained docents provide take you on a tour of the Bakery Museum, and you are granted access to the catwalks above the bakery  For information about Group Tours, please contact our Sales and Events team at 415-928-8882.
