California State Parks & Beaches in Orange County

Though this region has the least amount of beaches and state parks, it happens to enjoy some of the best visitor numbers. At these beaches and state parks you'll find highly desirable camping, thanks to the fantastic weather. Four out of six of the parks include camping, while only Corona del Mar and Huntington State Beach do not offer camping of any kind.

All of these state parks in Orange County are either on the beach or close by. The terrain ranges from flat sandy expanses, to rocky coves, and even inland terrain in Crystal Cove State Park. Not to be confused with the County of Orange Parks run by OC Parks, the California State Parks operates the beaches and parks listed below, and several are the busiest, most profitable in the inventory of some 270+ parks. Bolsa Chica State Beach is one of the beaches millions of people attend annually.
