Thanks For Making My Day (with Great Customer Service)

By C. MacDonald

The more high tech the world becomes the more many of us value good, old-fashioned, face-to-face customer service. We value the caring friendships we develop where we shop, the smiles of those we deal with that lift us up, the knowledge and positive attitudes that a lot have when dealing with the public. It's often not about their pay or store or even training but their natural gifts. In a business, such attitudes are more important than even product cost or value. They can sometimes change your outlook with a smile. We consumers should definitely have an "attitude of gratitude" for those employees, who consistently lift our spirits just by their personality and presence. As we approach the Thanksgiving Season, be sure and tell those special workers--and their bosses -- just how much you appreciate them.

It's hard to capture everybody's name, correct spelling or business but I want to give a "shout out" to some of the kind souls, who always lift me up, in several of these Huntington Beach area establishments.

In an increasingly impersonal, anxious world, where speed is of the essence, and everyone's in a state a motion, it's easy to make your caring known. You can make a positive difference in someone's life just with your smile, a kind word, by the way you listen or treat the person entering your space. Go ahead and make someone's day. Most will really remember you and appreciate it. You'll be a positive ambassador and make your town and your state a better place!
