You learn a lot about sheepherding when you see a demonstration at a festival. Dogs are trained to keep the sheep moving and not running off from the crowd. Dogs are trained to circle around the sheep and gently push and steer them in the right direction. It is amazing to see how well the system works. Who would ever know?

The next time you have opportunity to see a sheepherding demonstration, definitely watch it.
