SEAL BEACH Car Show

Saturday, April 27, 2019, 9 a.m.-3 p.m.

The Annual Seal Beach Main Street Classic Car Show

The City of Seal Beach is hosting the biggest event of the year to get the summer started off right, and invites all to attend the Annual Seal Beach Classic Car Show, taking place in April. One of the most exciting aspects of the show happens before most people get to Main Street, at about 6 A.M. when all of the featured cars roll in, engines blaring, to park in their designated spots. Feel free to join in the festivities as early as you can, but the actual car show begins at 10 a.m.

The car show will be taking place from the Main Street and PCH intersection in Seal Beach all the way to the Seal Beach Pier on Ocean Avenue. That includes all areas of the 100, 200 and 300 blocks of Main Street, as well as parts of Electric Avenue, Ocean, and Central. Please be aware that closures for many streets in these areas will be enforced between 8th and 10th street. Do not park your vehicles in any undesignated areas or marked parking lots or they may be cited and/or possibly towed away. Transit service graciously sponsored by Beach Fitness, The Abbey and The Crab Pot will allow you to get to the show quickly and easily in style via The Big Red Bus, which will be a free shuttle from the Alamitos Bay Marina parking area (in The Crab Pot's parking lot) to Main Street and will take place all day for anyone who needs a lift.

The Pinewood Derby will also be taking place at the Seal Beach Pier. It is usually hosted by Cub Scouts.

Make your way down 10th Street to see the dragster "Gasoline Alley" motor demonstrations if you like the throaty rumble of the "cackle fest." You can also visit Vendor Village at Eisenhower Park for collectibles and food, and stop by the Lions Club for a delicious pancake breakfast or a BBQ lunch! And don't forget to visit your favorite Main Street businesses that will be open all day to serve you! sealbeachchamber.org.

Seal Beach's annual car show is one of its biggest events and fundraisers for the Seal Beach Chamber of Commerce each year. Held on Main Street, the event extends onto the Seal Beach Pier plaza where guests can buy snacks, snow cones, and admire the shiniest, fastest prototype vehicles, or the oldest, slowest classic cars.

Seal Beach Pier's plaza area hosts numerous events with an annual summer concert series, annual kite festival, surf contest, Rotary Fish Fry and fishing derby for kids attracting large crowds. When December comes along the pier is lit up with sparkling holiday light decorations providing a month of additional night-time glow to the already lamp-lit structure.

Shown in the photo above at the base of the Seal Beach Pier is the Seal Beach Police Department - Jack Haley Community Safety Building. Due to the size of the pier, cars are not generally parked on the pier itself during the car show.
